2. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account, including a valid email address and truthful date of birth.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate another person, or share your account.
• You may update your username, email, and avatar at any time in Settings. Usernames must be unique and comply with our content guidelines (see Section 4).
• You may permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This action is irreversible and removes all your data, puzzles, and connections.

3. The Service

GridPics is a social puzzle game where users:

• Upload images and create grid-based puzzles with hidden words.
• Send puzzles to friends who progressively reveal tiles and guess the word.
• Manage a friends list, earn points, and collect badges.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

4. User Content & Conduct

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of images and content you upload ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service (e.g., displaying your puzzle to its recipients).

4.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to upload, create, or share content that:

• Is illegal, obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit.
• Depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, or animal cruelty.
• Contains hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats targeting any individual or group.
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others (copyrighted images, trademarks, etc.).
• Contains personal or private information of others without their consent.
• Is spam, deceptive, or misleading.
• Contains malware, phishing links, or any malicious code.

We use automated profanity filtering and user-driven reporting to enforce these guidelines. Puzzle words and usernames are screened for prohibited language.

4.3 Enforcement

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to:

• Review User Content for compliance with these Terms.
• Remove or disable access to any content that violates these Terms.
• Suspend or permanently terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these Terms.
• Report illegal content to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

5. Reporting & Blocking

• Reporting: You can report any user or puzzle you believe violates these Terms. Reports are reviewed and appropriate action will be taken.
• Blocking: You can block any user from your Friends screen. When you block someone:
  • All connections between your accounts are removed (friendships, friend requests, notifications).
  • Your profile, puzzles, and account become invisible to the blocked user.
  • Puzzles you received from them are removed from your feed; puzzles you sent them return to an unassigned state.
  • You can unblock users at any time, which restores their ability to find and interact with you.

6. Intellectual Property

• The Service, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and branding, is owned by RPMR Creations and protected by intellectual property laws.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.
• The name "GridPics" and associated logos are trademarks of RPMR Creations.

7. Push Notifications

The Service may send push notifications to inform you of new puzzles, friend requests, and game events. Push notifications are opt-in only. You can disable them at any time through your device settings. We will never use push notifications for advertising or marketing to third parties.

8. Prohibited Activities

In addition to the content guidelines above, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to interact with the Service.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable burden on the Service's infrastructure.
• Attempt to circumvent security measures, age restrictions, or content filters.
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities — please report them to us instead.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RPMR Creations and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Any User Content uploaded by you or other users.
• Unauthorized access to your account or data.
• Any interruption or cessation of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or CAD $50, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RPMR Creations from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party infrastructure including:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
• Apple Push Notification Service / Expo Push — delivering notifications to your device.

These services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

13. Termination

• By you: You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
• By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, upon notice where practicable. In cases of severe violations (e.g., illegal content, harassment), we may terminate immediately without notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 15 survive termination.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are significant, we may also notify you through the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which RPMR Creations operates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Canada, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RPMR Creations regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
